Truths are heard and remain with you. Here’s 40 years of truths used and abused, from some of the best teachers in psychotherapy, personal development, counselling and life.

  1. If not now, when?
  2. Being busy is the new addiction.
  3. Let it go, let it go, let it go (as per previous post).
  4. It’s only when you stop still, that feelings surface.
  5. Trust your own wisdom.
  6. The truth will set you free.
  7. Something outside of me will make me happy. Nothing can.
  8. It won’t show up, if you don’t need the medicine.
  9. There is no problem aside from ourselves. There is only ourselves as our solution.
  10. What shows up, is what you’re resisting.

  23. What shows up unconsciously needs to be healed.
  24. Don’t judge, hold on or deny it. See it and call it.
  25. You can’t change the past. But you can change the internal memory associated with the feeling.

    I think I recognise the profound picture at the top of this page – I was lucky enough to meet you on this part of our journey in life. Your work is beautiful Carmen, your honesty delights to the core. I love your favourite truths and believe many can learn from these. I hope our paths cross again soon.

      Laura, thank you. Love that you had delved into the site. Yes, many truths gathered on the way, and from people who I have the utmost respect for, and that have resonated with me profoundly. The Himalayas in all their glory, and as you experienced, being within that environment, you can’t help but be touched by the people and landscape. I’m glad you were there with me to see it too. Having witnesses makes it all the more enjoyable, doesn’t it. Hope to see you soon too. When the other travellers return maybe! Hope all’s well x x
