We are to walking, what Parkrun is to runners. Following a run on Sunday’s we sometimes like to slow things down on a Sunday. Do you agree? Be a little more gentler to the body. And give ourselves an extra 30 mins in bed!
That’s why we launched Soulwalks. To connect with others. With nature. For you to bring the dog, the kids, just yourself. Whatever age, whatever ability. We welcome all.
It’s as simple as that. Pack for all weather, and join us from 9.30am for 3kms (or more). You can walk at whatever pace you want to. We’ll simply start you off, and you can meander or stride out. Talk to friends. Not talk. However you’re feeling. It’s okay with us.
About Soulwalk: Just one of the things we do here at Soulhub, the home of goodness. Founder Carmen Rendell, will be walking the British Isles coastline from 1 January (Sole2Soul) to raise awareness of walking for our mental and physical health. A walking therapist, Carmen will be walking from Weston super Mare (where Carmen was born, grew up with two brothers, sister, mum and dad, played some hockey, drank in the Cabot, bit of cello, and lived for 18 years before leaving for Loughborough Uni), going anti-clockwise around the coast. She will be joined by friends in villages and towns, hosting Soulwalks at 9.30am (Mostly on Sundays) along the way. To launch, she’s teamed up with Crabtree and Evelyn, to host 5 London Soulwalks for you to join:
Some walks will have added flavour. On 20th October we start in Carmen’s London home, Richmond Park. We will be joined by our Soulhub Team member, Medicinal Herbalist Melinda McDougall. She will share with us her knowledge of the local plants in the park. An extra treat.
If you want to help those who might need support, and would like to make a donation, we’re raising funds for ASCA (Addiction Services and Carers Association) and a national mental health charity (which one, tbc). In return Crabtree and Evelyn will gift you a mini-goodie bag including their exquisite new Evelyn Rose line.
Registration opened 7 September. The walks are free. If you register however, Crabtree & Evelyn will donate £5 to our mental health and addiction charities, and give you a goodie bag Otherwise just turn up at 9.30am.
