What is Soulwalk? We are to walking, what Parkrun is to runners. But a little more gentler to the body.
‘Mindful, open-hearted walks to nourish your soul’
Soulwalk. To connect with others. With nature. For you to bring the dog, the kids, just yourself. We welcome all.
Soulwalk™ aims are to facilitate:
- Better understand and compassion of ourselves and each other
- Improved mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing
- Deeper connection, appreciation and conservation of our natural world
It’s as simple as that. Pack for all weather, and join us from 11am for 3kms (or more). You can walk at whatever pace you want to. We’ll simply start you off, and you can meander or stride out. Talk to friends. Not talk. However you’re feeling. It’s okay with us.
In November 2019, Founder Carmen Rendell launched Soulwalk, to orignally support her quest to walk the British Isles coastline over a number of stages. With friends. With communities. With you. As you can imagine, the storms, and then a global pandemic halted the plan, and the plan has now changed. She will be walking in Richmond Park, with her co-host Andrew Cuerden, and in other places around the UK on more organised Soulwalks.
Why? – To raise awareness of walking in nature for your physical and mental health, she will walk, meeting people to talk to them (The Soulwalker Podcast) and will create Soulwalks in towns and villages across the UK and Ireland.
Come join us for a gentle stroll. With friends, on your own. For 3kms, more or less. It’s simple. Just a time to connect. We’re meeting at 11am at the Roebuck Pub (130 Richmond Hill). Please bring with you any jumpers, warm clothes, sunscreen and appropriate shoes.
If you want to wear a mask, feel free. We will honour social distancing where required, and so please let Carmen know if you have any concerns before we start. If you’re aware of having COVID, we ask you not to come along for now.
